News FEBRUARY 6 th (scroll down for gigs) It's a bit of a quieter spell at the moment, as February usually is, but there's some gigs around so hope to sse you at one of them. One notable one is The Waveney Folk Club on February the 24th. always a lovely gig for us but this year it's the 40th anniversary of the club this year so we think that makes it a bit more special. Later, in March we have a spot at the Norwich Folk Club on the 23rd and we've been booked to do an Hours set before Chris Wood the following night at The Cut in Halesworth. I've got aa couple of projects on the go for 2012, so working on those currently, we'll see if they come to anything in the next 12 months. There is more footage of us in the gallery section and a whole new 'demo' clip of us live on the home pageHope to see you at some of the gigs coming up. A new feature: A monthly link to something interesting, inspiring, silly that I'd like to share, it's going to be like unwrapping a Christmas present with no idea what it is, it could be itchy socks or a diamond ring. October Link September link November Link January 2012 Link February link Don't forget there's the facebook site now - John Ward Music and the emailing list for the occasional news letter. New album - Called 'East of the Sunrise' has fourteen tracks inspired by, or coming from, my home area of England; the Waveney, Yare and Blyth Valleys of East Anglia. The album aims to capture some of the altmosphere, history and characters of the area which is both beautiful and industrial at the same time. It's a simpler more folky album than previous ones although it still has a variety of instrumentation and first class contributions from some of my musician friends who are; Mario (of course!) Lynne (my wife) Ian Sainsbury, Mike Reeman and Richard Hubbard. It's available from this website via paypal on the discography page for £9.00 It is also be available from some retail outlets in the Lowestoft area; Morlings in London Rd South, The Heritage Shop in The High Street, The Seagull Theatre in Morton Rd (along with my other albums), The Arts Centre in The Triangle area and Ferini Gallery in Pakefield as well as The Three Horse Shoes in North Cove. Also The Waveney Folk Club in Factory Street have a stock. Aslo now available from Living Tradition website and magazine.
